If you are unsatisfied with your life, career, relationship, etc. Yes, you…don’t look around the room and don’t ignore my statement. YOU are doomed for failure if you continue to do what you are doing to get what you have. You are doomed for failure if you keep doing the exact same thing, hoping for a magically different result. YOU AND ONLY YOU ARE TO BLAME FOR YOUR FAILURES…so
Do me a favor, go in a quiet room with a mirror look yourself in the eye and ask one question.
DO NOT READ THE REST OF THE BLOG UNTIL YOU LOOK INTO A MIRROR AND ASK THE QUESTION BELOW:
“If you could be doing anything right now to improve the quality of your life what would it be?”
For some people they are living their dream, rather its to be a stay at home mom, a business owner, a sales representative, a manager, a doctor, lawyer or student. But, for many others WE are nowhere near living our dreams. Also for a great majority we are doing nothing about it. Nike has a great campaign right now that reads, “Yesterday you said tomorrow” I love that quote and I think about that perspective each day. As a motivational speaker, blogger, and life coach I’m still guilty of not pressing the pedal and going for my goals constantly. We all have excuses…but most of them are irrelevant. If we are very honest with ourselves it is normally 100% our fault.
A former manager used to tell me “You got what you got, because you gave what you gave. ” In other words your successes and your failures are your fault, and your fault alone. NOBODY else is responsible for what you have accomplished in life and lost.
The question is what are you going to do about it? Wait until tomorrow and hope for the best? Give up on your goal, become complacent and ignore the burning desire you have to accomplish your goals? and act like you do not want more. OR you can stop delaying yourself TODAY...don’t waste time going over the ins and outs…JUST GO…learn as you go you’ll make mistakes, but GUESS WHAT? you’ll be working on your goals instead of TALKING about your goals…so as soon as you finish this blog, not after lunch, or after work, or after the kids go to bed…BUT IMMEDIATELY after you finish this blog take one step toward the goal that you perceive will improve your quality of life…NOW!
Be GREAT at what you do today!
