Don’t Beat Yourself Up!

“I’m not afraid to die on a treadmill. I will not be outworked. You may be more talented than me. You might be smarter than me. And you may be better looking than me. But if we get on a treadmill together you are going to get off first or I’m going to die. It’s really that simple. I’m not going to be outworked.”     – Will Smith

Ok, so the hard part is over or so you thought. You set a goal, and have consistently adhered to the goal in ordered to reach the ultimate outcome of the trail you began. You have stopped doing what you were to stop doing, and started doing what you were to start doing. Yet you still have days, moments, seconds, or hours where you feel down. You feel that you are not progressing fast enough. You do not believe that you are doing as well as one may have hoped. In turn you start to beat yourself up, you start giving yourself excuses, and start providing reasons why your journey has been a failure. You may even be thinking of ways in the back of your mind to QUIT.

Well I COMMAND YOU, YES I SAID COMMAND YOU TO STOP. Stop being your own worst enemy. Stop beating yourself up. Stop giving yourself excuses. Stop giving away your accomplishments to the mercy of the powers that be that are against your goal (these powers exist in your very own mind)

No longer will you fall victim to one-on-one abuse. No longer will you be an enemy to your own hard work and progress. And No longer will you fail to eliminate the obstruction know best as DOUBT.

Today, you must declare to yourself rather your goal takes one day, one week, one month or 20 years you are in it to win it. You will die fighting to reach it before you allow the thought of failure to enter your psyche and destroy all that you have and will accomplish.

So DO NOT GIVE UP. DO NOT GIVE WAY. AND DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP.

Lift yourself up, be encouraging, be resourceful, be determined and be COMMITTED. AND YOU WILL SUCCEED.

Be GREAT at what you do today!
